Nexus 6 Camera Issue

alcappacino 72 107 January 22, 2016 at 01:13 PM
Has anyone experienced an issue with the Google Camera (inbuilt app) on Nexus 6? For me, when I launch the app, the screen gets too bright and I am not able to see on the screen making it difficult to take a picture.
I tried to tinker with the settings but no go so far. There aren't much settings to play with anyway. When I use thirdparty apps like HD Camera or Open Camera, they display properly on the screen and I can take pictures normally.
This happens only on the rear camera, the front camera works fine.

I would be interested to share some thoughts from someone who might have had this issue.

Thanks!

Since the 3rd party apps work I am thinking a format would help out. Not fun but probably work.

You mean doing a Factory reset on the phone? I might have to try that since nothing else seems to be working.

Before you factory reset, try clearing the app's settings by going to settings->apps->camera->storage and selecting clear data and clear cache. Make sure you've backed up any pictures first.
