Asiana – $549: New York / Chicago / Seattle / Los Angeles – Hong Kong. Roundtrip, including all Taxes

Asiana is running a special to Hong Kong. Orbitz will price this at $549. It is higher on other travel sites and on ITA.
On ITA, it will price at $723 from Seattle, $699 from Los Angeles, $865 from Chicago and $765 from New York. As long as you use dates with those prices from ITA on Orbitz, it should price either as $549.

Sample Travel Date:
Sample from New York
March 8th – 15th

Pretty good price, but that layover is hell after a 15 hour flight, I usually succumb to the exec lounge with shower despite the fees.

OP has a sample trip from 3/8-3/15, what's the longest trip one can take at this price? I.e. 2+ weeks? 3 weeks?

It sucks being tall, there's no way I could sit in an economy seat for 14+ hours without losing my mind.

How tall is tall? I'm 6 feet and have no problem in economy for 14 hours. In fact that's the perfect flight length. Not too short, like 8 hours. 14 hours gives you time to eat/watch a movie, sleep, wake up and eat/watch another movie.

Asiana is also a darn fine airline.

It's like 2 hours. That's nothing. Hm.... I wonder if they will allow for a stopover. Most airlines will allow for one. Then I can hit up both HKG/China and Korea. Also, on HK Express, Japan is a short and cheap hop away.

Awesome price. But what's ridiculous is that I'd rather go to the stopover city (Seoul) and that costs $1207!! So, if I save them the cost of me flying from Seoul to HK and HK to Seoul on the way back, they're going to charge me $657???
