Any blade will last for years if you wipe them down around once a month/ gas fill up! Also, don't just replace the blades if it's not wiping well, it could be your windshield is dirty. Use dish detergent and give it a good clean Smilie

Agree that wiping them down and keeping your windshield clean is good practice, however your opinion about any wiper blade lasting for "years" is pure fantasy. If you live in a place with a lot of sunlight (UV Rays) or Snow and Ice....you'll be lucky to get 12 months out of a cheap set of wipers.

Since it's winter time.. I do not recommend using conventional style wipers if you live in area where it snows/ices. Conventional style wipers will accumulate ice in the blade housing and you'll be basically wiping your windshield with a stick of ice. Also scratches your windshield. Use hybrid/beam/winter style wipers for the winter instead.

Can I stock it up. Do they incur deterioration by age if just lying in storage?

If regular price is $3.88, I can't imagine how horrible these would be...So your savings is a whopping $2/blade...Not that great of a deal.

it would probably take many many years for wiper blades to deteriorate if they are kept in a climate controlled environment inside a house

What is with all the wiper blades going on sale recently? Is there some wiper blade consortium that is flooding the market w/ cheap blades?
