The parsec is a measure of distance, not time. When Solo claims the Falcon is the ship that made the Kessel run in under twelve parsecs, what he's really saying is that he's the pilot who did it. Reason is he's a smuggler, and successful completion of the Kessel run (a hyperspace smuggling route) requires frequent and imprecise jumps to and from hyperspace. Under twelve parsecs is a testament to the maneuverability of the Falcon and to the cleverness of her pilot, not to anything to do with speed.

When Solo uses this boast to respond to concerns about outrunning Empire ships, he's not saying he can outrun them. He's saying he won't have to even try because they'll never see him coming.

As a FYI, if you want to order the Millennium Falcon & other items, order the Millennium Falcon with promo code SDMillennium on 1 order & then the rest using the other promo code ET0121 for 20% off other items. If you don't, the falcon price goes up if combined with other items & either promo code is applied.

Thanks Itchyb & repped for the 20% code.

yeah they'd fit into like a 4"x4"x4" cube roughly. not too big and a pain in the ass if you have big hands and aren't patient. if you bend the little prongs the wrong way and try to rebend they can snap and yeah. but they are cool once done, i've built like 4 or 5.

you'll need tweezers though.

also unsure of why the -2 rep on this thread. that's a steal for these metal earth kits.

normally they're $12+ or $8 on sale at one of those calendar stores that pop up near year end when they have clearance sales.

Package size is 5.11 x 3.54 x 0.08 inches but does anyone know the dimensions after it is assembled?

I had EB bucks, so it came to $2.25 shipped. Why not? Been eyeing these anyways, cheap way to give it a try. Nevermind that Episode XXIII will be out before I get it from China.

Looks like it could be fun. Without the promo code it's $3.55. Worst case scenario PayPal handles the chargeback.

Looks like it'd be fun for $3. After like 10 years in SD I've yet to come across this retailer though - I assume they're reputable / no ones had problems? (and as comments imply, may take several weeks to arrive from China, but that's cool, I'm in no rush)

I wouldn't post a deal for a store that I didn't feel was reputable Smilie

If you search on amazon for Metal Earth you'll find these there for much more but you can read reviews. I've already got several and have enjoyed putting them together.

There are several of them on everbuying if you search for "Metal Puzzle". I picked up several for around the same price.

Also found ET0121 for 20% off.

I ended up picking up 4 different ones for a total of $11.80 shipped. Just this one millennium falcon they sell at the Disney Parks for like $16.
