According to the Press Release, "Early customers will take advantage of a $50 Instant Rebate during an initial 3 day sale promotion, and pay just $99.99, from Friday, January 29th, ending Sunday, January 31st, while supplies last."

BLU Vivo XL 2016. It was just announced at CES at the beginning of the month. It has a 5.5" 720p Super AMOLED display, a 1.3GHz Octa-core Mediatek MT6753 processor, a 13MP camera on the back and 5MP on the front, 16GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, 4G, Wi-Fi, and a nice 3150mAh battery with USB Type-C charging and MediaTek's Fast Charging support. At its MSRP of $149.99, the Vivo XL is a really good deal, but at $99.99, it's just a steal.

The phone only has a patterned metallic back and not a unibody construction, and it ships with Lollipop 5.1 (with Marshmallow promised to come soon), but we're talking about less than a hun'ned here. That's some fantastic value for your money, whether you just want it as a second device or you're buying it for a kid or relative.

The discount is live on Best Buy and shipping is free. You can grab the Midnight Blue or Solid Gold color options at the $99.99 price. If I were you, I'd make up my mind pretty fast because we're not sure how long the offer will be available for.

The phone is unlocked and will work with any GSM carrier.

Note:
-No LTE band 5 (supposedly used by AT&T in areas with no band 17 coverage, can use an app like LTE Discovery [google.com] to find out if your area uses band 5)
-Capacitive navigation buttons are not illuminated (however there is a dedicated multi-color notification LED)

I saw a review pop up last night. Looks interesting, 720 screen is unfortunate but quick charging and better speakers is a plus.

I loved my Blu Life One X that I gave it to my grandmother so she finally had a cellphone. Sounds like a joke but It means I trust it enough to have my grandma use it Big Grin

Given the ZMax 2 is $80, this one for $100 is just "OK", certainly no way worths the $150 MSRP BS price. Being new, there's zero reviews, you essentially doing free beta test for them.

4G bands LTE band 2(1900), 4(1700/2100), 7(2600), 12(700), 17(700)

So it's quite alright on the unlocked side if one really want an unlocked phone like fast.

Well I did a small amount of research. It sports a MediaTek MT6753, I found some head to heads against the SD 615 vs the MT6752 (so a step down) and it beat it or was on par on all synthetic benchmarks. So I have no idea about real world usage, but in terms of raw power, single core performance is roughly the same as a SD 615.

I just purchased my first Blu phone, Life One X, based on recommendation from another slickdeal'r. The phone is awesome for what you get and the price. Really no compromise. Blu has really impressed me their most expensive phone retailing for $350 and offering just about everything the so called top brands offer.

I really missed out on the preorder for the Life One X for $99 through Amazon in December. I bought it this week for $150 and I am very happy. This new preorder for $100 has me almost returning my Life one for this one... It has a larger screen and bigger batter, but the folio case that comes with the Life One X is truly what seals the deal for me... It is too nice.

If you are looking for a new phone and are tired of paying too much for something that you can do literally on a $10 Moto E or a $30 Lumia 640... But you want that extra OOMPH... Get a blu phone... Get this phone! I have the moto e, the 640, and have had other flagships in the past from iphones to other windows and android flagships... I am tired of making others rich... Apple has at least a 60% markup and for what? So they can keep telling you how rich they are? Don't get me wrong, some of the flagships are super nice... to show off and I guess I you need to feel a part of something and have fallen into the marketing propaganda that a premium phone makes your life glow... Ok. But I am tired of it and just want the devices to work for me. No reason a $600 phone becomes almost worthless the next year... No reason to keep upgrading when you keep doing the same thing...

Stop falling for the hype and get this phone... I am personally blown away. We need more companies like Blu to challenge the market. Consumers and Slickdealers, SPEAK WITH YOUR MONEY/

Have a good day.Cool

I'm wondering the same thing too since I work basically in a basement where I need the wifi feature (for calls/texts) to work with T-mobile.

I might order one just to test as I assume I can return this to local Best Buy stores if I don't like it correct?
