Need a simple laptop under $300

Laptop will be just for surfing the internet, emails, maybe some facebook. It's for my mother, she is older and doesn't use computers for much else.

Would prefer it to be durable or have a good manufacturer's warranty.

The cheaper the better, though. bounce

You can buy a Chromebook on average for about $200.

I'll save that if nothing else comes up, but a Chromebook will be a learning curve for her.

She requested something with a physical keyboard and Windows. But thank you for the backup suggestion.

Definitely a chromebook. No learning curve, it's literally just Google Chrome. That's it.

More pros over windows?

-Super quick
-Great battery life
-No Viruses/Malware

Cons:
-Can't run all Windows software without serious tinkering.
-Screen may be too small. (They make bigger ones though.)

A windows PC under $300 will be complete junk.
