So, how did it smell?
And with that said, nobody needs to listen to you any longer.

in all probability not. if its upto 50%, XPS/Alienware likely will be less than 40% which the $500 one matches/beats upto $1300. my guess would be 25-30% for XPS.

Last year I got a Inspiron 13" 7348 2-in-1 with a i7 processor for $480 include tax and shipping. It is a scratch n sniff. This would be a bench mark.

Can I get a repeat of this with a 6th generation i7 ?

50% off will be the over priced Latitudes and Tablets Dell likely keeps getting returns on from the holiday. I found that even with 50% off, they're still overpriced. I remember doing the math about a month ago on the 50% off tablets and they were about $50 less than new and $100 more than ebay.

if you think the Latitude is overpriced, you're clearly not their intended market. Latitudes are business class machines and built accordingly. You also get a 3 year warranty standard on most models.

Not on used ones, you get a year. I think used Latitudes are overpriced. They are high quality and their components are easily swapped. Paying more than 25% compared to an Inspiron with the same specs isn't justifiable as Dell doesn't make unreliable computers to begin with.

The latitude 6000 and 7000 series all come with 3 year next business day onsite service from the outlet at no additional charge.

Some of us would not buy an Inspiron to begin with, so a price comparison is meaningless. The poor build quality of an Inspiron makes it unacceptable to me.

Meh. I've never had a problem. They feel plasticky, but all the ones I've ever had or purchased have held up well. The one I'm typing this one was a S&D from the Outlet four years ago. I keep waiting for it to have a single problem so I can justify replacing it. Nada.
