Hello. Been eyeing this for a while but came across it today. Amazon and other retailers like lowes [lowes.com]and home depot [homedepot.com] has these for at least $90 with a rebrand of this controller. They all look the same.

I used some discover cashback and redeemed $20 for $25 egift card that you get instantly. Or you can find giftcards that are about 7-8% off.

Free shipping to store is available or sign up for their rewards program for free shipping to your address.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

If you can't add to cart in the app, try this:

I'm still using the free Staples Connect I got a while back...since this is being sold at Staples, I'm going to assume it's compatible.

How do you install it?Separately on the wall? I assume its not meant to be mounted outside and used for manually opening the garage

Iris is Zwave so it should. It allows other connections and they sell IRIS right next to Schlage door locks.

And they use fire/C02 detectors.

You hook it up to the opener and you put the tilt sensor on the door.

I have one of these (two, actually, but haven't set the second one up yet.) Wish I had waited and not bought the second one now and saved some money. (I guess it's not really that bad since I got a free hub when I bought 2. I should really sell all my extra hubs.)

Originally had it set up with Staples Connect, and it worked well. Now on SmartThings. Works well there, too. SmartThings 2 hub recognized it immediately as a garage door opener, no need to set up any custom devices.

I also set up Rule Machine with SmartThings to turn on an additional light in the garage when the door opens, and then turn off after 10 minutes.
