I thought I would start a new thread. As many others have pointed out, this is a great value phone if you like Windows Phone OS. It also makes a great phone for older people since its perceived to be simpler.

Back in stock at Walmart [walmart.com] for $32.31

This is a steal for the price. it's a high end hardware and for the price you cant go wrong. I bought this to replace my HTC One Android and i have no regrets. People complain there are only few apps there but how many apps do you use on a daily basis on other platforms? Windows have all the essential apps for your daily needs. whether it is Roku ,GPS, Netflix, Evernote... they are all there. The OS is flowless. battery life is amazing. I need to charge once in two days, not bad. Picture quality is really awesome. If I paid $500 for it, I would be looking for complaints. This is really like a fire sale HP did with their now famous Touchpads. Smilie

High end hardware? That's pushing it very hard. I'm on Android and I don't use that many apps and I don't play games at all. Still, last times (when lumina 630, lumina 520, lumina 920 were new) I tried WindowsPhone the app store was full of junk apps, and if what I was looking for even existed. I really wonder how Microsoft is letting that happen. There are a lot of apps missing. For me, I can't remember all, but it was the lack of Chase bank, TradeKing, Assurelink, most of Google apps, and some apps that are way outdated and buggy. Internet Explorer was really crappy too. If it's for old people I would suggest iphone. I would only recommend Windows phone to people who are absolutely sure they don't need any extra apps, or can live with basic OS by itself (which WP is pretty good at), and just use it like a feature phone, or someone really poor and looking for cheap phone that still works well.

Ikr, Microsoft could assign some of its software people to help companies develop apps for Windows phones. Like Cartwheel - Microsoft should be devoting some of its resources to getting popular apps developed for Windows phones.

Fantastic phone especially if you already have an android or apple tablet for the occasional missing app. Id only stay away if need google apps like hangouts or that snapchat app on your phone.

This phone is a POS...I'd rather have a Moto G or E or Volt for the same money...plus they work on more providers!!

off topic, but anyone have simple instructions for ad-blocking ie on a lumia635?

I googled and the only thing I found was a hosts file method that I couldn't understand along with tons of crying from app devs who acted like blocking ads for generic internet browsing was taking food out of their mouths for their apps on win phone.

This phone is great. Battery lasts forever. Your high... moto G is s pos compared to the 640...

Moto g has half the features and I don't see them going for anywhere near this price.
