Discover Card Price Protection Question

So I have a question about price protection. I'm looking at an item on amazon.com that's $233 with free shipping. I found that same item on another website for $160 but shipping will be an additional $90 or I could pick it up and not pay any shipping. Is it possible for me to buy this item from amazon and apply a price protection claim for the difference minus shipping? ($73)

Technically I wouldn't have to pay for shipping for the $160 item because I can pick it up at the warehouse, but it's 90lbs so I'd avoid that headache.

since price protection is based on making claims, you'd probably have to produce something from the store you could pick it up from in writing to give to them.
