Potentially $15 cash back at Top Cash Back too:
  • 1. Follow the offer link in the original post, copy the resulting page URL (should begin with "https://www.freedompop.com/offer/" followed by the device/offer name), and close the page without purchasing
  • 2. It is recommended to clear your browser's cookies or launch a new browser at this point, to start over with a clean slate
  • 3. Go to the Top Cash Back site, sign up or sign in, then click the FreedomPop link which takes you to the main FP site
  • 4. Now in the same browser tab/window, replace the main FP site URL with the direct offer URL you copied in step 1, and go to that URL
  • 5. From that offer page, purchase the device as you normally would, and you should get a notification of the cash back within 24 hours

While logged in to your FreedomPop account (or viewing your FreedomPop order status page?), click these links and follow the prompts to downgrade your plan/service to free.
Downgrade to the free plan: http://www.freedompop.com//accoun...ngradePlan
Remove premier service: http://www.freedompop.com//accoun...adePremier

Best support options:
  1. private message the user "FreedomPop" here at Slickdeals
  2. private message the admins (currently Jorge M. and Karina Magana) at the FreedomPop forums: https://forums.freedompop.com/
  3. give the above users adequate time to respond (at least 1 business day)
  4. if they haven't responded after 1 business day, use https://getservice.com to call FreedomPop customer service on your behalf: (888) 743-8107

Yep the Netgear 6100D sold out fast, the U770 is the device I'm going to see if they switch me to for free or cheap to replace my U600 WiMAX/3G stick.

The U770 has antenna ports, however only has the 1900 band LTE, no Spark 850 or 2500 band support.

so can I tie this to my current freedompop (1gb free data) plan?

EDIT: it looks like it will be treated as a separate devise and you will either have to pay $20 a month for 2gb (or more $$ for more data) or get 500mb a month for free

Ordered 1 LG g pad and got an email confirming 3 orders.
Not sure what that is about.
Also while checking out I noticed an extra $10 few for something random. Make sure to uncheck that box.

How is the 500MB free service these days? Is it still using WiMax or Sprint's LTE network?

Considering getting a hotspot as a backup when traveling, not sure it's worth it

I have a freedom pop ZTE force and a hotspot and like it's service. I haven't had issues with itin the 2 years I have had it. However, I would recommend getting an AT&T branded LG V410 and tying it into T-Mobile's free data service. It will cost $10 more for the tablet but I have found that the at&t version has more roms than the sprint version. You also only get 200mb as opposed to a potential GB of free data. I still think the GSM version is the one you want.
