in for 8...for each table of my house. i might get yelled at
I personally have this vice. It is a pretty basic cheap vice. Unfortunately, it broke on me after a month of use. It was my own fault. I had a piece of stock that kept spinning out of the vice. I put a 12" pipe on the handle to crank it own a little extra since the handle from factory is short and doesn't allow you to crank it down, and almost instantly the back end of the vice casting blew apart. It still functions, and yes, I was using it improperly... but I was not expecting that to occur considering how abusive I have been to vices in the past. It would be a good small vice for a hobbiest, but if you plan on doing any heavy duty work on it, I would pass. The jaw movement also isn't the smoothest, but then again, it's a $30 vice.

Free shipping at the $35 level, not $30 I believe. I am getting 24 dollar shipping added even after the 94 cent add.

It shows free shipping at $30 for me. Not sure if that is because I am a SYWR VIP or not.

The Slickdeals effect has kicked in - these links won't display and the Sears site is dog-ass slow ! The true mark of a front page deal shake head

Reviews talk about the strength / quality being low (particularly compared to older Craftsman vises).

If you want a well made vise at this price-point (or lower), your best bet is to look around at estate sales.

Does it expand enough to fit a person's head?

lmao - sears site is ALWAYS slow. Not many people are going to randomly buy a vise.
