I'm not aware of any specific solution but you can certainly do that with a Windows task and a batch file. Unless you have a sync/compare tool that's capable of doing that. Synctoy is a free one from Microsoft.

Is there a program that will create the PST file on its own rather than do it in outlook every time.

Outlook maintains the local copy of your mail in a PST file. You just need to setup some backup software to backup the files.

Worth noting 2 things. OP should chance the caching mode to a couple of years probably so it grabs all the mails. Before a copy job is run outlook should be closed.

Outlook gets cranky with big PST files. So say under 8-10 gigs probably.

try idrive (https://www.idrive.com/) , the local software is free and can be timed to backup your specific folders to a local or NAS drive. Point this idrive to the folder where you store your PST file and set up a timed scheduled backup. It does incremental backups, so that may help.

this is just my thoughts, i have not tried it.
