Just a heads up people, get the 128GB SSD model because it has an IPS display. The other with the base 1 TB HDD uses a TN display. Just a heads up.

Got 1 of the used ones with original box in pristine condition. However, reviews seem to be mixed, so I'm hoping I don't get one of the lemons that at least a third of the reviewers seemed to have gotten.

With the specs oh boy this is heavenly a deal, but damm beware and look at some of the 1 star reviews
"
1. Driver state power failure blue screen, 2. Continuous BIOS looping, 3. Failing SSD's with no warning, 4. IPS display failures, 5. Dead headphone jacks, 6. Graphics card failures
"

seems like a bios faults, idk if they release a bios fix yet. On the fence for this, and most of the offers are USED laptop anyways

Got the one with the SSD. I told myself I'd hold out this year but the video card on my 8 year old craptop is probably going to give out soon.

This year, I have evolved into a gamer! Thanks OP.

FYI dont get the SSD version, many people on newegg claimed that it dies after a couple of weeks of usage. In my opinion, a good ssd 128gb only worth around $30 anyway, so why not buy it ouside and slap it in

Glad I happened to be awake for this! Excellent deal considering the specs, and dedicated graphics, even if a little weak, will be useful. I will probably upgrade the SSD and put windows 7 on it, because so far windows 10 has not impressed me.

I ordered one of the 17 inch models listed in the post by TatsuyaS. Repped.

I got the version of this without the ROG branding and I've had nothing but issues with the IPS screen. It's been in for service twice to replace the screen. It's AMAZING when it works, but It's been "in the shop" more than I've had a chance to use it.
