Best Buy has licensed the Sharp name. So unless its a Sharp "Aquos" TV its an Insignia TV with a Sharp label.

I would say yes. Only problem the remote control is not a "regular control" with numbers and that old school stuff. it comes with a Roku controller is really dumb down easy to use but my parents have issues navigating the interface for me is a perfect, clean and self explanatory.

Considering purchasing this for my parents to upgrade them from a 42 inch tv that is almost a decade old. Any comment on the price? Seems like a good deal.

My tv is a 42" Sharp Aquos that is like 11 years old. Would this TV actually be an upgrade? I mostly watch sports and play ps4. Or should I wait until something that is 120hz and 4k comes by for about double the price of this one?

I have this TV, and it is very slim. I don't have exact measurements, but its quite thin.

yes its an upgrade....4k is overrated until it becomes mainstream...you get 50" and a good sharp aquos product with roku.

I have a 50" Hitachi plasma that's a decade old and I've yet too see any TV barring 4k that would be an upgrade.

The only thing that's holding me back is the brand. I know Sharp is far from generic, but I'd prefer Samsung or Sony. Any comments on the brand quality?

Also, is there anyone with this exact model who can speak to the picture quality? Thanks!
