How well do these unlocked phones actually work, specifically, how will this work on T-mobile or ATT?

I have an LS991 for Sprint and it has been unlocked, it won't get LTE on T-mobile and basically data is horrible.

Doesn't it have the right bands/frequencies? Or is it missing the LTE bands for Tmobile? What about ATT?

LS991...

Network LTE Tri Band/CDMA/GSM Quad Band/UMTS Tri Band*
Frequencies LTE Bands 25/26/41, CDMA Bands 0/1/10, GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS 850/1900/2100*
Data Transmission LTE, CDMA, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSPA+, WCDMA*

US991...

Network Hepta Band/Dual Mode*
Frequencies LTE Bands 2/4/5/12/13/17/25, CDMA 800, 1900 MHz, WCDMA 850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz, GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz*
Data Transmission EVDO, EVDO Rev.A, 1xRTT, LTE*

Is the US991 going to be as good on Tmobile as the H811 that is designed for Tmobile?

H811...

Network GSM, UMTS, LTE*
Frequencies GSM: 850,900,1800, 1900, UMTS: Band 2, 4 (Roaming Band: 1,5), LTE: Band 2,4,12 (Roaming Band: 3,5,7)*
Data Transmission HSPA+, LTE*

I would guess it won't be as good, but I don't really know what it needs and what it doesn't need.

Does anyone know if this phone comes with any carriers bloatware or is a "clean" LG phone?

If you're planning to use on AT&T, you're good. They use band 4 for LTE.
About T-mobile, you can go on their site and check which one they use, but I think it works with the same as AT&T.

They are extremely similar devices, but the Moto X does have nicer front facing speakers and brighter screen (for outdoor visibility). Moto X also has universal U.S. compatibility, this model is only partially compatible.

I'm able to get both ATT and TMO LTE on my LS991. I rooted it and flashed some SIM unlock file and with custom ROM. but I'm running on R+ network now.

I prefer the Moto X but their is no perfect phone, just different compromises. I assume you are android user already? Moto X is Huge as is the LG. Visit T-Mobile store and ask to hold real not cabled to table phones for LG G4.

Moto X pure is excellent AND works with Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. I prefer the Moto unique features but now that Moto is Lenovo who knows about updates. Moto has louder front speakers if you are road warrior that uses audio from phone for GPS not car speakers.

LG has removable battery, which is must for many heavy users. Even if you don't carry spare in your pocket it is nice to put in new battery after 1yr or 2. LG has better camera if you take time to setup shot and settings.

This isn't the Verizon model. This is U.S. Cellular / Unlocked U.S. variant.
