I would say it's the graphics card...
This doesn't even match a 920m ...
2 days ago the 7000 series went disc and for 700 you got a gtx 960m and i7 6700hq 1tb with 8gb flash. And you could increase the ram and put an extra ssd as well.
I like that thus is 17inches, but size isn't everything!

And it was instant discount. This one you need to do rebates etc etc

I am not sure why they include that dedicated GPU - it's on par with the Intel hd 520. Maybe having 4GB of dedicated GPU memory? If the screen is IPS, it seems like a solid deal at this price.

Saves the memory and I think its still better than the hd 520. It is a good deal at this price.

This thread states 7000 series, but the link leads to a 5000 series.
Isn't this a problem?

Has anyone been able to determine if this has a TN or IPS screen?
Where does Dell hide this info, with so many other details plainly provided?

I always thought dedicated gpu > integrated graphics, even if they were "equivalents"??

That was more true in the past. Over the years, Intel has stepped up their built in graphics. Though it is obviously easy for dedicated gpus to outshine the integrated, they aren't always all that good or worth having.

Laptop appears to be in the Business segment. Dell Employees cannot stack Business Segment Employee Discount on top of this for some reason, even though discount is always supposed to stack. It removes the $669 coupon when applying, so may have to call our friends in Bombay and argue it out of them, but should be another hundred something off if they do it.
