ASUS Firmware is way more comprehensive vs C7 tho. I would go for ASUS anytime for sure.

Ok deal... I picked up this router during xmas sales... paid ~$75 (after $20 rebate from Asus).
Good router...Installed Merlin Firmware... happy with it so far.

The archer is a piece of crap really. You shouldnt be on the fence. I ultimately put mine back in the box and set my n750 back up. It was just too unstable for whatever reason.

Well...I am succumbing to peer pressure, so I pulled the trigger and bought this Asus. I am planning on putting Merlin or Tomato on it.

Is there anything different with this router compared to the newer ones? I just don't want to be left behind since this router seems to be four or more years old right now.
