What does everyone think of this 58" Vizio on sale at Costco?

Hey guys...apologies in advance if this is in the wrong forum, but this is my first thread. Feel free to move the topic if it's out of place.

I'm in the market for a TV and when I visited Costco earlier they had this on display out front: http://www.costco.com/Vizio-58%22...37603.html

There's a Vizio M-Series 4K set, slightly better build (metal ends rather than plastic), on sale for about a hundred dollars more. But I didn't notice much of a difference when comparing them side by side.

Because the 58" seems to be an exclusive to stores like Costco, it's hard to find many reputable reviews online and I'm not super-tech-savvy when it comes to specs on TVs. I'm someone who's going to be doing a lot of TV, Netflix and the occasional videogaming. Do you guys think the 58" is a pretty good entry level 4k set, or should I spend that money on something else?

One of my concerns is the "soap opera effect"...it says it's "120 hz effective frame refresh" but I read somewhere that it's actually 60hz upscaled. Not sure if that will impact how movies look or anything.

(They also have a Samsung 1080p set for $550... but the quality didn't look quite as nice or vivid to my eyes.)

Seems like a good price, but the D series doesn't get as good of reviews as the M series. If I was buying a Vizio, it would be M series for me.

Thanks for the feedback. It's tempting because the M Series is only $100 more...however, it's also 55" and not 58". :/

I second the M series, we have the 65" and love it. Picked it up in December when Costco had a good 'instant rebate' on the 65" Vizio.

Agree with other folks who responded. Go with M-Series. Much, much better. I bough M70-C3 last year and absolutely happy with it.
