I'm in the market for a TV and when I visited Costco earlier they had this on display out front: http://www.costco.com/Vizio-58%22...37603.h
There's a Vizio M-Series 4K set, slightly better build (metal ends rather than plastic), on sale for about a hundred dollars more. But I didn't notice much of a difference when comparing them side by side.
Because the 58" seems to be an exclusive to stores like Costco, it's hard to find many reputable reviews online and I'm not super-tech-savvy when it comes to specs on TVs. I'm someone who's going to be doing a lot of TV, Netflix and the occasional videogaming. Do you guys think the 58" is a pretty good entry level 4k set, or should I spend that money on something else?
One of my concerns is the "soap opera effect"...it says it's "120 hz effective frame refresh" but I read somewhere that it's actually 60hz upscaled. Not sure if that will impact how movies look or anything.
(They also have a Samsung 1080p set for $550... but the quality didn't look quite as nice or vivid to my eyes.)
