I have this and like it but would rather have one with fax.

I just killed my last inkjet toner cartridge trying to print all my tax forms. I was waiting for a deal on one of these.

I was considering something like this but I'm undecided if I want to go for this or wait until there's a good price on a color laser aio. Is color more trouble than it's worth? I've done without it for years, so I'm really tempted by this.

IMHO I would not do color. I bought a cheap caznon that takes generic cartridges and use that when color is needed.

Anyone know if the copy/scan is autofed? How is the price of replacement toner?

Perfect! Duplex printing and Cloud printing along with this makes it a buy for me.

Nice. Wireless and scan capabilities for <$100 shipped. Anyone have experience with this model & able to comment on its reliability long-term? I know Brother's stand-alone printers have a good rep around here & have a low cost of ownership.

I have had a MFCL2700DW which looks pretty similar to this + fax (which I never use). It's awesome. I print from my desktop, surface pro, my gf's macbook, my android phone...it all works flawlessly. The self feeding scanner is great, and you have the flatbed when you need it. I'm still on the original toner, though I admittedly don't print often.

I've had mine for about 5 months and it's going strong. Not long term, but may help with your decision. Worked through 2.5 toner cartridges so far.
