Ahhhhh the HP 750se reincarnates again! We MUST have a new 750se thread every two weeks or else the universe might be two dimensional.

Anyway, awesome computer! Can't go wrong with this!

Let me answer some questions preemptively:

1. No, don't buy a used computer instead of this one.

2. No, don't take the case off and treat the 750se as your personal electronics lab. Instead, just use the computer to do computing, like a good boy.

3. Yes, the bronze 500W power supply is more than enough, even with the GTX 980.

4. Yes, it's a small case and it is cramped inside. So if you think you might crawl into the case on some days when you are feeling sensitive, ain't gonna happen.

5. Yes, the warranty is only 1 year unless you pay extra and this is made in China, assembled at the Foxconn plant in Juarez Mexico. And if you waste a nanosecond on that thought, you don't have a clue about global manufacturing in 2016.

6. Yes, the fan is noisy, but not too noisy. If that's a problem, buy a fan-less, overpriced Apple product.

7. Yes, it is easy to put in a SSD. After that, this rig will be a rocket.

8. Make sure you get Windows 10 instead of 7.

9. No, this is not the right motherboard for real overclocking. If you want overclocking get the 860 series.

10. No, you CANNOT build your own for less.

This system has its pros (price), but also runs warm because it is a small mid-tower case with limited airflow.

Oh no, not another Envy thread...

Before all the questions come flooding in:
Yes it's the same price as building it yourself but as a new model reliability is unknown
Power supply can output up to 420W between four separate 12V rails

Yes the GTX 970 and 980 Ti work with the Oculus rift.

I had a system configured, coupon worked in the cart, then at checkout it removed the coupon and said it didn't apply to items in my cart.

Weird.

I noticed the 4790/GTX 970 build didn't meet the $1199 minimum for the coupon, so that may have something to do with it.

Same as the last 5 times it's been on. Till the number of coupons they've allocated are gone. It was 450 coupons once. there are lots of old threads on these with the same questions answered again and again.

when i apply the coupon it shows applied, but when i add my payment info and go to next (right before confirm order) the price goes back before the coupon applied, even though the coupon code says its applied still.

anyone else get this problem?

its for the i7/980Ti
