This is a good offer for this card.

Keep in mind that once you've held this card for a year, you can "upgrade" it to the Surpass for a 50K bonus (you must pay the annual fee at the time of upgrade, and spend $3K in 3 months), but there's no second hard pull.

One credit inquiry, 120K points + $75. That makes a winning combo. As it is, 70K Hilton points is decent value (~$500 if used well).

You can only get this card once according to the AMEX rules. I hope this is around for a few more months it is a pretty good deal. I am trying to meet the minimum spending for a southwest companion pass.

25,000 points will get you a $50 gift card to various vendors.

Better value is actually using the points for a couple nights at an expensive hotel.

how many nights would 70K be good for?

Hilton rewards are awful compared to spg rewards, for anyone who is considering one of them. Hilton free nights require you to cash in way more points than the spg card does. you usually need over 40k points for a free night with Hilton. you can get for 7k spg, though.

This is the most points I have ever seen for any Hilton card. If I didn't already have the Surpass card I would be all over this.
