Have this TV and when I try to play movies from my Android phone using the app All Cast it keeps saying G format not supported. I've tried mp4 and h264.

According to the specs, it can only play mpeg video files.

Trying to play videos from Smart TVs is terrible. My Samsung recognizes some of my files, but won't play the audio with it.

Better off getting a WDTV to stream your movies. I had a Roku, it didn't play the sound for any files from my files.
I just use WDTV media players to play files off my network.

Chromecast would be an option as well.

Generally the native software on smart TVs is dated the day you buy it. And most manufacturers seem to completely abandon support for their TVs after 18-24 months. Much better to get a dedicated device like a Roku, etc., to handle streaming and other smart features.

After ordering a deal immediately delete your deal alert. You got your item; you don't want it shipped with a side of remorse.

Do you have any media players, gaming systems etc? Plex has a client that works on almost everything. If not to do what your wanting you will need to spend more or get a cable to connect your phone to the TV with. I bought an MHL cable for my Samsung phone and used that to Stream Big10 Football 2 seasons ago before they had a Roku app or a Android app that was Chromecast capable. Worked pretty well.

Then you need to first transcode your videos to a format that the TV can cope with. There is no magic setting that will suddenly let your TV decode video formats that it doesn't understand. Frown

A popular free transcoder is Handbrake, found here: https://handbrake.fr/

try tsMuxerGUI remux to .ts
i just read the manual, it supports H.264 and H.265 but H.265 only for .ts, so i guess .ts has better compatibility

wait, maybe the problem is the Audio format

Most likely the TV supports MPEG-1 or MPEG-2, not MPEG-4 or MP4.
