Does SSD on PS4 help when running games from disc instead of running it downloaded on SSD?

Playstation4 700 108 February 19, 2016 at 11:51 AM
So I want the speed upgrade but want to run the game from the disk so I can resell the games later. Since the speed of game play will depend on disk drive speed, is this setup going to be a waste of money?

Yes. Even games that are 100% downloaded onto the SSD, all the speed tests I've researched online seem the speed difference is maybe 10% over regular harddrive. Save your money.

Difference is moot when you're playing online. For offline, the load times are about 10-20% faster.
