recommendations for a desktop

affordabletech 58 14 February 19, 2016 at 04:05 PM
I need a computer desktop which can handle editing videos on Final Cut Pro. My MacBook Pro 2010 which I upgraded the memory and HDD to a SSD still can't handle fcp. Any recommendations on something less than 500$?

final cut pro is a mac software. I don't think 500 will get you much in the mac world unfortunately. If your looking to switch to pc I would check out the windows software and see if you like it

If you already bought the software you should buy a Mac with an i7 and run about 16 gb of ram. It may be better to re-buy software and buy a regular pc with the same specs. It may be the cheaper option.

Final Cut Pro runs $300. A more powerful PC is easily at least $300 less than a comparable mac, but you'd have to buy and learn different software. In the end this makes it a fairly even trade between the two. Either option will ultimately cost more the $500.

You could potentially buy something with powerful enough specs and Hackintosh it so it can run Final Cut Pro.

these will probably be good if you have final cut pro X as from what i have read it is designed for multithreaded processors.
