Can anyone explain how I use this site? I signed up and activated the offer. What do I do now?

Purchase the item and return to the site. Using the phone app is a bit different as I use the website. I would normally enter the UPC from the item I am redeeming and then upload the receipt with the item purchased. After a day or so, your account will be credited with the amount of the item.

What keeps people from being able to double dip these companies? Offer control? I haven't used anything but ibotta but I've run into people using various apps at the grocery store and compared notes...

Very reliable. Been around longer than iBotta. Probably one of the first money back shopping apps.

There was somewhat erroneous information posted earlier though. If a store has a rewards card you will havr to link that card and select the offer before shopping. I would recommend adding all of your store cards to your account and activating all offers as soon as they show up (usually Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays and the 1st of the month). They email out when new offers are added but I sometimes dont get the email until hours later and by then the best offers might be sold out.

If you have a smartphone you can add the app and check in store if a particular variety will count for the offer.

There is also an online shopping portal that gives a % back like urlhasbeenblocked. Very rarely Savings Star will have the best return rate so it is worth checking.

You need $20 to cash out IIRC. I reach that every month or so pretty easily from picking up frees and free after coupons and apps items. Personally I get more back from S* than iBotta but it will depend on your shopping habits.
