Acer's PJ division appears to be all but dissolved. The UI, etc isn't great. but it's a good value as far as the PQ you are getting. I'm still rocking one. Just wouldn't recommend unless you have had PJs for a while and can deal with such issues.

is the UI quirky, but usable? Or are there actual issues? Does it freeze up or cut off or boot you out of menus or anything like that?

Is this good enough for those few times you want to use it outside for a sport event?

Should be great for a basement, especially for the money.

I hear ya. I've been looking for a little while now and haven't seen anything with comparable specs in this price range. That's what ultimately did it for me.

My only concern is the reviews that say it is loud. I know there is some inherent noise with a projector, but we would be using this as our main viewing device so probably not great for day to day sitcoms.

This PJ is an amazing value. I have this in my living room for the past few years using it almost every day. I'm still waiting for it to crap out, but so far it's been a beast! Looks amazing too! It is also a pretty small device, so it blends in nicely with a white ceiling.

The H6520bd (3500 lumens) was $416 on jet using a coupon code (shipped by newegg) until it went out of stock a couple of weeks ago. The 6520 is a better projector with a more powerful bulb and a much better deal should it come back in stock in the future.
