Likely regional only due to power company rebates/credits. Otherwise nice deal.

Great price, thanks OP, apparently no discount in my state. Could you put YMMV in the title, thanks.

I found the 40w (7.3W) bulbs do not dim that well, their range (of dimming) was limited and I got a slight flicker at the low end. The 60w bulbs had a better range and did not flicker. Both the 40w & 60w did not dim very low. Might just have been my dimmer switches? Overall these LED Bulbs have been great. I still have yet to have one burn out, oldest ones are coming up on 2 years and are some of the most frequently used bulbs we have.

The blubs are $9.99 before a $9 utility rebate (from SDGE) and the tax is calculated on the pre-rebate price. Works out to $1.79 for 3 bulbs. They also have 2-pk 45W floor lamp bulbs for $1.99 after utility rebate.

So does SDGE (aren't they San Diego Gas Electric) service OC since the city that OP got his was Laguna Niguel which is in Orange county.

If you aren't using LED compatible dimmer switches then that is definitely the problem.

These bulbs don't come on instantly, there is a delay of less than a second to a second. Not as bad as CFL but not as "instant" as the GE bulbs I am using.

most led compatible dimmer switches have the lowest level of the dimmer range as a programmable option. Check the dimmer manual
