So this is among one of the coolest market research project invitations that I've gotten in awhile:

Quote :
Hello,

Here's an exciting project for you..

We are seeking respondents who lives in New York or New Jersey to participate and take part in a research study testing the Family Hub (fridge + software), and be willing to have the fridge installed in their homes, which will serve as their compensation for this research.

So what's so exciting and awesome about this project?

If you're selected to participate, you'll get a brand new home appliance. YES, you read that correctly!

You could be the owner of a high-end home appliance that's so new, it's not even available for purchase yet. It's also worth a whopping $4,999! That's pretty cool, right?

The Project will take place starting March 11, 2016 and will finish the week of June 6th after the 1- 3 hour group session facilitated by the dscout team in the New York/New Jersey area.

To see if you're a good fit for our 4 month project, complete this application by answering some questions about your kitchen, managing the things inside of it (food, appliances, etc.), and other parts of your home life.

Please feel free to register your information via the link to the survey below:

Probably gonna be crazy difficult to get in this one given that everyone and their mother will surely apply. Nevertheless, good luck to all the NJ/NY slickdealers who apply!

It will be cool but just think about the reality that they will own your soul for the term of the project-morning, noon and night. I am sure there will be projects up the gazoo that will require extensive time and probably some local trips. If you don't have a full time job you would be a great candidate but wow, I got this last week and said to myself I would not be able to commit to the time required...they would probably have to commit me to a locked ward. Curious to hear about the people who do it--a nice reward for a lotta work though.

I don't know, according to the project details below, the amount of work involved doesn't sound all that bad. I'm sure you have to put in more work than your typical product evaluation, but it seems worth it to me given that you'll be keeping this latest and state of the art (and very expensive) smart fridge.

I am sure there is a lot more work involved. If you need a new refrigerator and have the time...plus fit the criteria then I think go for it.
