The reviews on the headset... :|

So, not so funny story: Someone in the apartment unit above us got STABBED. According to the cop who interviewed us, the attacker rang the upstairs doorbell, and when the guy answered the attacker forced his way in and stabbed the guy. You want to know what scary part is? I didn't hear a thing, thanks to my amazing HyperX Cloud 2 headphones. I got them on Amazon for $99.99 (free shipping). These things work as advertised! Probably the best noise cancelling headphones I've ever owned. 10/10 would buy again.

NETGEAR ReadyNAS 204 4-Bay Network Attached Storage Diskless (RN204-100NES) [amazon.com] for $200 seems like a really good deal.
What's the difference between that and the 104 that is another $15 cheaper?

EDIT: nvm, CPU and RAM. Improvements are definitely worth $15!

Anyone have the Asus ac68 router? Just looking for feedback on unit and the range. I have a netgear wndr3400v2 and its on bottom floor and on 3rd floor speeds are horrendous just wondering if this will do the job or if anyone has a better option. Thanks

if you can move your router to the second floor, that would probably really help.

move it to the middle floor if possible, that's your best choice with any router

Well my first RT-AC68U went back to asus after several months use. It would randomly drop complete internet/wifi/and lan and not be accessible via IP unless it was power cycled and would take forever to come back up. They sent me a brand new sealed one in place of mine. Well had that 5 days and it did the same thing 3 times. Sent it back and fedex took 3 days to deliver it 1.9 miles down the road. Kept claiming the address was wrong. Tuesday that new sealed replacement router will be here. Unfortunately for Asus a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 will be here today.

Moral of the story I'm not the only one with this problem and this router. Search around. I'm also not the first one to have problems with Asus equipment or their rma department. I used to swear by this company but the QC is terrible. Chat support are just stupid.

This isn't my first problem with them either. Had a P8Z77-I Deluxe I sent in for some problems got the board back and I don't even think they touched it other then to rebox. Got it back same issue. Sent it back got it back. Don't know if it still had the same problem because it have about 15 bent pins. Sent it back got a replacement board that works. I also have a spare P8Z77-I Deluxe/WD sitting in my closet. My fiance and I both use the Deluxe. So if either one has to go back we have a $250 replacement sitting in the closet.

As for the wifi range though It was great. The r7000 is better though according to smallnetbuilder.com. Aside from my problems with 3 different routers you may have good luck. I can tell you to stay away from the Archer C8. It's wifi range sucks or it just doesn't like passing through 1953 petrified wood, wood siding, then metal siding. The C8 acts like the Asus RT-N65U I had prior to the RT-AC68U. Outside my front door is pretty dead on my cell phone unless I face the door. That's only 25' away from the router and my router is up on a cabinet. The RT-AC68U Made it to the end of my driveway about 90-100' away. When it would stay connected that is.

BTW FW didn't matter old, new, MERLIN it all did the same issue I described.

There isn't a difference in the models of 68 except for the P and it has a faster processor and different USB3 controller. So if your not doing coorporate amount of devices or worried about usb 3.0 transfer speed then stay away from the P it's not as good as the U/R/W

U=Online Retailer
R= B&M Retailer
P=Best Buy Exclusive and faster cpu and improved USB 3.0 transfer speed. Worse wifi throughput and range
W=Is just a white model
