I was going to post this but wasn't sure the price was "hot". I have the G2 which I am giving my wife and need an upgraded phone. The LG G3s out there are mostly refurbs. I can get a new G3 from Rakuten for $259.00 shipped, but was wondering if getting the G4 from T-Mobile for $350.00 would be a better upgrade. I have been using mostly LG products in the past and have been happy with quality and performance. I guess I am looking for your knowledge and expertise...
Thanks for your extremely valuable input.

I only see a Verizon model

I need a T-mobile D851. I can get a used model from Pangea_Deals for $169.00 but looking for new (less hassles with bad IMEI, phones with finances balances, scratched screens etc.)

The new LG G3 at Rakuten is $259.00

The new LG G4 at T-Mobile is $359.00

Tough decisions!

depends on wether you can afford the extra $100. the g3 was flop compared to g2 i had both. g4 fixed many of the issues in g3. personally i would never buy a g3 even for $100 as my experience was terrible with it. but g4 seems pretty good and the camera is way better than a g3.

Honestly, QC2 alone is probably worth $100 for me.

Thanks for the reply... I heard about the G3 issues and were hit and miss with quality. I would love a manufacturer refurbished G4 for $200-$225

G4 screen is a bit crisper (same resolution), slight curve to the phone makes it a bit easier to hold for longer periods, band 12 capable, camera quality is top of the line for smartphones. Those are the reasons for.

Performance wise, I haven't seen any real difference between the Snap 801 and 808, neither is much above mid grade at this point, but the pieces of software that can truly tax that much processing power is few and far between. The 808 will likely be a bit more future proof, though.

Depends on your wallet. If you don't live in a band 12 area, and can settle with a very good, instead of class leading camera, the G3 is a very capable phone. But the G4 is a better option, overall.
