These have been on backorder/unavailable for months. People have been price gouging on fleabay.

I know this is full retail price, but still slick if you have been wanting one for a long time like me.

Thumbs up OP. I know it's full price but it's been out of stock since I got my echo on Black Friday. This is a necessity in a 2 story home and you are using the Echo for home automation.

I believe they did, but when I ordered mine last November they did not come with a remote and they weren't available to order.

No. They connect via Bluetooth. Only one active at a time.

The remote has sold on ebay for the price of an echo so full price at $30 is a deal for something I've wanted for a while.

I've had one of these since I got my echo, but can't figure out what the point of it is. I've used it about 3 times, but just to freak people out with the "Simon says" feature. Is there some use case I'm missing? My understanding is the appeal of the echo is that it's hands free and gives fast feedback, where this does neither, like using a computer with a keyboard but no monitor.

But maybe I should stop complaining, wait for these to sell out, then list mine for hundreds of dollars...

Thanks OP! I would have thought Amazon would have notified me before SD did. Gotta love this place!
