REI is NOT a rip off, but I will admit it's not as good as it was.

They have great gear, great customer service, and used to have a great return policy, but too many shltbags took advantage of it (and I witnessed some horrendous abuses) so they finally changed. it.. CostCo had to do the same, because the shltbags treated the store's products like their personal free usage supply.

REI doesn't have the 20% off coupons anymore either. It's a subtle price hike, but a price hike none the less.

I always wonder, why does the world have to put up with shltbags? We know who they are (or they can be identified easily enough) but I can't understand why we let them ruin things for everyone else.

This looks like the previous year model. Where the lower canvas portion of the shoulder strap connects to the upper mesh-style portion is very prone to tearing. I had 2 of these and was bummed to return them both because of this issue. Only had a 2L camelback in the bags and they started to rip through on the first use.

Great day pack. I use this for most of my 3 season day hikes that aren't too extensive. It's not meant to carry more than ~10lbs comfortably in my opinion.

I use this bag as a day pack I keep in my backpacking backpack on overnights. It's fantastic and lightweight lugging stuff around without using my 75L monster.

Past that, it's a bit uncomfortable for extended use. At $20, however, it's a great deal!

good light weight pack, I keep an extra in my trunk as it folds down nice for storage. I would buy another but I must already have a dozen packs laying around Stick Out Tongue

This store is the biggest rip off, so anything that is 20 dollars is considered a deal for them

Picked one up couple sales ago and love it. Easy to pack and take as a spare bag on vacations. Wish there was external water bottle holder but that's on the bigger models. May have more colors in store for this price YMMV.
