If you have a newer freezer, you can count your lucky starts it was on a GFCI outlet - most newer appliance have circuit boards in them that act as a mini computer, which can be fried if there is a spike in the line. Instead, the spike trips the circuit, much as it does at your circuit box. Instead of losing a freezer full of food, you could have faced a $250 bill to repair your freezer. That happened to a friend whose relatively new refrigerator died. Hopefully without the GFCI, you circuit box might have been tripped, but it's better to have the extra protection. These are the same boxes that are required near your sink and in bathrooms.

Note to newbies: Order your coupons, now if needed so you'll have them by Sunday. The best doubling coupons are from Florida & California. Don't go scrolling through your East Coast papers looking for these. My NJ papers often get $1/3 instead of the prime $.50/1 or $.75/1. Better off paying $.05 a coupon for much more savings!!

Want to point out something that i found this week. not anything new, but for us, short of finding some great deal that i have not seen for a while, this weeks SR canned corn is a good deal and i am stocking up.

also, EVOO this week is a great deal. i have not seen the price so low in a very long time. Def a stock up time.
