Didn't see this posted - hopefully I didn't overlook when I searched!

Motorola.com Has Motomaker Option Available Now Starting at $299.99

It looks like the official Moto website has knocked it down to $300 as well. It's a little bungled, the intro says 399, but then once you start designing it says 299.

Just throwing this out there, but the phone is $100 off on Motorola's site: http://www.motorola.com/us/home - why not pick your own colors/accents?
Best Buy and Amazon both have Moto X Pure Edition, 16GB Black for $100 off retail - making it $299.99 plus tax with free shipping. The 16GB variant with White/Bamboo is also discounted to $299.99 at Amazon, and $324.99 at Best Buy. Motorola.com is also offering the Moto X Pure Edition starting at $299.99 with Motomaker customization (thanks TommyL8240 & mikeplaysguitar for the tip!).

Memory upgrade is available (32GB, 64GB) for additional cost at both retailers, but remember that the phone can accommodate microSD cards up to 128GB so you may be fine with 16GB unless you are a heavy user. This is a very good price for a flagship phone that is half a year old and is likely to receive better post-launch support than most other flagship phones sold directly through carriers.

Note that the Moto X Pure Edition is unlocked and compatible with nearly all cellular carriers (but do your homework first to ensure your carrier supports it!).

Wow that is a great deal on an excellent Android phone! If I didn't just buy a Nexus 6P I'd be all over this deal. Great camera, nice and clean Android OS, and even has a micro SD card. There really isn't much to dislike about this phone.

Funny that Amazon's own used ones are priced higher than the new ones. Buy new for $300 or used for $340. Makes a lot of sense. Crazy

Yea... hopefully they lower that along with the pricing for the 32GB to match this deal.

I have to research if the bootloader can be unlocked. I love my G Flex 2 but not being able to put custom ROMS on it is starting to bother me with what I want to do.

Appears its possible:

It will void the warranty however, so its your call.

I got one of these for my wife earlier this week, refurb but slightly cheaper. I'll post back with my review of it.

Edit: my initial impression is that it's not a huge amount faster on the GUI and normal apps than the Nexus 5 with Android 6.0.1. The screen is excellent though. Stereo speakers are a little tinny, but that's par for the course with any phone.

It takes time to change used prices within your seller account, and really it's not even worth doing so as the sale is probably going to be during a short period. Even if the sale went a week, it's not like 100% of the people interested in a Moto X will automatically know that it's discounted on Amazon/BB.

People selling used can just wait it out, and it would be smart to do just that as it's not like the price of a used Moto X is going to go down that much even though it's being discounted new. Lose more, by undercutting Amazon's new price (right now), or wait until the deal expires and probably still be able to sell it at what it's currently posted at. Hmm, tough choice.
