Scrolling Screenshots save very tiny

ukiltmybrutha 301 March 14, 2016 at 05:50 AM
I have to take scrolling screenshots of a very large and long webpage (a certain Twitter Account Activity).

SnagIt crashes about halfway down the screenshot.

Greenshot works nicely, but when I save it as a png (default format), the picture is so tiny.

Windows 8 opens it in Microsoft picture viewer by default (I think that is the apps name). If you scroll in with the magnifying glass, the picture fills the screen but it prints very very tiny to my printer or as an xps file.

The information contained in the print screen is pretty likely to make it to court at some point.

I need to make the print screen simple stupid lawyers who will need to admit it as evidence. Based upon previous experiences with all parties concerned, It will be ignored if not super easy to read.

No print option provides relief either.

Thoughts?

Thanks

It's small because it's scaling to fit to your monitor. Can you print the twitter feed to PDF?

Just scroll a bunch to load the tweets in your browser and then once they're loaded print as a pdf. Google Chrome has a built in save as pdf option.

Depending on the nature of the court case, it might be necessary to do something like subpoena the tweets directly from twitter.

Ok all. Do I need a full version of Adobe to do that? Reader isn't cutting it. If so, I'll get a full version no problem. I remember using the Adobe Distiller some time ago for something similar. Not sure if it is called the same thing.

Also, it is scaling to like 1/30th the size of the monitor. Like a really thin line that is about the size of one of these typed characters.

Thanks for the heads up on the potential subpoena.

Lots of free options for pdf creation, just watch for checkboxes for unwanted software and toolbars to uncheck during installation on some.

Google Chrome has the function built in, just choose print and switch the printer to save as pdf.

Other free options: cute pdf, nitro pdf, pdf creator

Yep, Chrome would be my #1 followed by FoxitReader has a PDF printer that can be installed at the time of install. No $$$ required. I would check with the lawyers though the bit about needing it from twitter might be very true.

Thanks for the tips. Chrome was the winner. I tried multiple other pdf printers and they all timed out due to file size. Chrome made it seamless. Just have to check the box to tell it to print background pics which were critical in this case.

Thanks again!

Is receipt required to get free money?
