Wal-Mart Deals

Thoughts on PM'ing the RA Verio deal to WM now:

1. WM's policy says they match PRINT ads. Sadly the only thing from RA in print expired last week.

2. You don't have to have the ad...true. BUT, WM is supposed to have the ad themselves, and they can (and should) verify any PM you give them. Most of the time they don't, but this is a $45 difference...expect scrutiny.

If your store is relatively friendly, they can call RA to verify the price...but they do not have to honor the PM at this point since there is no current print ad.

As with all things WM, this will be YMMV.

I won't bore you all with every single detail of my attempts at this deal last week, but I spent 45 minutes Wednesday trying to get it, another hour and half Thursday, an angry phone call to corporate, an angry email to corporate, 3 phone conversations with an Assistant Manager on Sunday, and then another 20 minutes at the register on Sunday.

Is there a policy that PM has to be local store?

We gladly match the price in the following types of ads:*

• Buy one, get one free ads with a specified price
  • Example: Buy one for $2.49, get one free
    (BOGO)
• Competitors' ads that feature a specific item for a specified
  price
• Preferred shopping card prices for specific items that are in a
  printed ad
• For fresh produce and meat items when the price is offered in the
  same unit type (lb. for lb.; each for each)

*The following are guidelines and limitations:

• We will match any local competitor's advertised price.
• We do not require customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor's ad.
• Items purchased must be identical to the ad (size, quantity, brand, flavor, color, etc.)

Per their PM policy, yes, local. YMMV of course. My store defines local as within 30 miles, though since this isn't defined in the PM policy, I would guess each store can set their own radius or guideline

Thanks much. My closest Rite Aid is 75 miles so probably a no go.

Did you ask at the pharmacy counter? Every store here keeps them in the pharmacy, not out on the shelf with the rest of the meters.

Just looked through the Winn Dixie ad for this week and they have the verio on sale for $19.99 starting today. We don't have RA down here. Haven't decided if I'll try it at Wally or not. Have to see how many coupons I have left.
