Uh, yeah, why wouldn't they? There's always FAECB & FARR deals. Walmart should just let people come in, pricematch and take it away for free? Seems like a losing business model.

Walmart says they price match per their policy:

We gladly match the price in the following types of ads:*
Buy one, get one free ads with a specified price
Example: Buy one for $2.49, get one free (BOGO)
Competitors' ads that feature a specific item for a specified price
Preferred shopping card prices for specific items that are in a printed ad
For fresh produce and meat items when the price is offered in the same unit type (lb. for lb.; each for each)
*The following are guidelines and limitations:
We will match any local competitor's advertised price.
We do not require customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor's ad.
Items purchased must be identical to the ad (size, quantity, brand, flavor, color, etc.)

Never mind, I will just print their policy and carry it with me from now on!

You have to have a card to get the sale prices in the CVS ad. They will match those.

Price matching and coupon acceptance gives them sales other stores normally would get. Many PM deals we do already make the item free or give us money back. Most people (not most SDers, lol) actually spend more money due to the illusion of savings using coupons gives and will do so while already there. We SDers even buy more things there than we use coupons on with our overage or savings. It all adds to their sales. WM actually makes $0.08 per coupon for shipping and handling to redeem them, way more than what they pay out to do so.

I'd say their business model in the above respects is spot on.

My store DID match the "after ECB/UP" price. They actually did that for a few months and then all of a sudden (about 2 months ago) stopped. Now they will only match the preferred shopping card price, i.e., sale price.

They have never matched FAECB or FAUP.

FINALLY!!! Found the Beneful Dog Food trial sizes for $1, scored the small packages of Temptations cat treats for .50 each, got a nice supply of free Sheba from these, nice supply of Playboy fragrance (compliments of the nice Coty coupon), local mom and pop had poptarts for 4/$5, so PMd them, used the Kellogg's printable $1.50 MQ for a little "O", got double points for Kellogg's family rewards (off to print more qs before the "sale" is over on 12/3) Eggos were $1.98, used $1.50 MQ to score some cheap-o breakfasts. Now waiting for a sale on Kellogg's cereal and Keebler cookies/crackers!!

Also found Farmland seasoned pork sirloin roasts for pulled pork reduced to $3.50, exp 12/8/12 with $1 peelies, so snagged three for some cheap football game food. Free qs for Cuties juice 8oz exp yesterday, so got a nice supply of that.

As for PMing Wags/CVS/RA for price after RR/ExtraBucks/Ups, seems like I get a new answer every time I try...........yes one day, no the next, yes the day after that...............

They told me that WM.com is the only website they will match..........YMMV as to whether or not they will match it since it's out of stock online.............Mine would make an excuse not to..........

I was told thar they don't match it. Their PM policy does exclude internet prices. I wish they would at least PM their own website's prices especially since you can sometimes do site to store pickup and opt to pay there ...even using coupons! But sometimes an item is in store but it doesn't gice the site to store option. If target has that exact bike, yoy may be able to PM since they match online competitor but oos makes it ymmv since it is excluded in the pm policy.

I have a Walmart gift card that I got from a return. I can't use that to buy a different Walmart gift card or any other gift card. I'm wondering if I have a transaction with some other items and a gift card, will the gift card then be accepted as payment, anyone know?

From the description, it sounds like you have a store credit, not a WM gift card. I have used store credit to add money to my gift cards in the past. I always have other items in my purchase. With the new register updates though, this may no longer be possible.
