If you want to discuss the pros/cons of shopping at Wal-Mart do that here.

Let's try to stay focused on any great deals to be had when you combine a coupon with a regular-priced item. YYMV on the actual prices at Wal-Mart but they should be fairly close. If your store has an item with a very different regular price, please put it in the Wiki so we can compare the price variations to see if this is even worth it. We may as well not even post clearanced items because that is definitley going to be widely different per store.

There is no weekly ad to work with so we're going to have to add things from what we see when we are there. So please keep an eye out when you're at Wal-Mart next for any hot deals.

Wal-Mart accepts the following types of coupons (see guidelines below):
* Manufacturer coupons (Cents Off)
* Free merchandise (or Buy-One-Get-One-Free) coupons
* Store coupons
* Pharmacy (Advertising and Promotional) coupons
* Internet coupons
* Soft drink container caps

The following are guidelines and limits:
* Wal-Mart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when presented at the time of purchase.
* Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates. Wal-Mart will not accept expired coupons.
* Internet coupons should be legible and say "Manufacturer Coupon." There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a scannable bar code.
* Only one coupon per item is permitted.
* Use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by Customer Service Manager.

***YMMV on internet coupons. Some stores won't take them at all, some only take 1 per transaction and others take as many as you have. If you run into any trouble you can try showing them a copy of their coupon policy, but there is still no guarantee they will take internet coupons. Click on "Wal-Mart Coupon Policy" above to see it on the actual Wal-Mart website.

Guide to Wal-Mart
  • Use the SCO (Self-Checkout) to avoid coupon scrutiny
  • You cannot get an overage at the SCO's
  • Go to a regular cashier if you plan on having overage
  • Go to a regular cashier if you have a bottle cap
  • You can only use $20 worth of coupons at SCO
  • You can use up to $40 worth of coupons at a regular check out (Without Manager Approval) - (You can use as many as you want with approval)
  • If your coupon doesn't register as being inserted in the coupon slot at the SCO then blow in the slot
  • Some SCO's are coded to only accept 1 of each coupon and will need cashier approval.
  • Some SCo's are coded to need cashier approval for coupons with a $3 or higher value.
Wal-Mart Price Guarantee
If an item rings up for more than the price on the shelf WalMart policy is to give you $3.00 off the price the item scans for. If the item is less than $3.00 you get it for FREE. One item per $3.00 discount. YMMV as some stores will just give you the price difference instead of $3.00 off
NO MORE PRICE GUARANTEE AS OF JUNE 2008

Our Ad Match Guarantee

En Espa?ol [walmartstores.com]
We're committed to providing low prices every day. On everything. So if you find a lower advertised price on an identical product, tell us and we'll match it. Right at the register.

We gladly match the price in the following types of ads:*
  • Buy one, get one free ads with a specified price
    • Example: Buy one for $2.49, get one free (BOGO)
  • Competitors' ads that feature a specific item for a specified price.
  • Preferred shopping card prices for specific items that are in a printed ad.
  • For fresh produce and meat items when the price is offered in the same unit type (lb. for lb.; each for each)
*The following are guidelines and limitations:
  • We will match any local competitor's advertised price.
  • We do not require customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor's ad.
  • Items purchased must be identical to the ad (size, quantity, brand, flavor, color, etc.)
We DO NOT match the price in the following types of competitor ads:
  • Items that require a separate purchase to get the ad price
    • example: "Buy [item A] to get [item B] for $C"
  • Items with no actual price that require a purchase to get free product
    • example: "Buy both [items A & B] to get [item C] for free"
  • Items that require a purchase to get a competitors' gift card
    • example: "Buy [item A] to get a $B gift card
  • Buy one, get one free (BOGO) ads with no actual price given
  • Going out of business or closeout prices
  • Percentage off
    • example: "All mascara, 40% off"
  • Competitors' private label price promotions
We do not honor:
  • Ads when the actual price for items cannot be determined.
  • Internet pricing
  • Misprinted ad prices of other retailers
  • "Going out of business" sales or "close out" prices

It has come to our attention that an original intent of a manufacturer's coupon(s) has been compromised and it is being discussed on the slickdeals.net forums. Discussions of how to profit from a coupon mistake should not be discussed here. if you wish to discuss the coupon(s) mistake, please use another forum. Slickdeals.net does not condone discussions of how to perform, elude capture or profit from unethical and perhaps illegal activities. Any users caught creating multiple account(s) will be banned immediately, no exceptions.
  • Please do not ask (even in a covert way) for any coupon that has been scanned or discuss any coupon that is not used for it's intended purpose. This goes for ALL scanned - this is what ALTERED means. NO POSTING about CWS, "37000" coupons, SPICY, or DECODING list of coupons.

  • Users who do ask or discuss any coupon that is not used for its intended purpose will be subject to warnings. This is because we do not want to punish those who do legit deals by being forced to close this thread down.
Moderator Reminders
  1. Do not directly post to Ebay Auctions.
  2. It's considered self promotion because we don't have a way to verify if you are the seller or not.
  3. Mod Alert any fighting! We'd rather catch it in the beginning, versus going back 5 pages to see what happened.
  4. Do not discuss or promote unethical and/or illegal activities with coupons or GCs (ie using expired coupons, using fake coupons, etc.).
  5. Click here for how expired coupons will be handled on here. (Credit goes to kel_be). In other words they will be handled the same way as they do for the Target Thread.

  • If you feel it would be beneficial and helpful to the thread as a whole, go ahead and post an answer. Hey so the ear/nose trimmers says "shaver" on the box? I never actually thought of getting those because when a similar q for norelco shavers came out some time, I checked Norelco's website and Trimmers are in the Stylers category and not under w/ Shavers group.
That would be a really good deal for DH...he hates his nose hair and even plucks the couple strays that apparently make him sneeze laugh out loud

I think the OP was referring to this travel electric razor [walmart.com]
Thanks for clarification! Was at Wal-Mart yesterday looking for $12.97 razor, guess I didn't look hard enoughFrown

how about the $12.97 Nose & Ear Trimmer? Read on IHTM that it says shaver on the box so the $10 mq is good for it. I'm the first to say no but I'm unsure now so that is why I'm asking here to confirm.
Even I am not sure about use of $10 coupon on that set but I read on RA thread that some people using that coupon on grooming set.

weren't there multiple pdfs of this? i used it once since the coupon looks shady...more so than the one w/ all the errors. Big Grin
My store doesn't take coupons without the "writing around the edges", so I can't use anymore.

I'd hold off until 12/26 unless you really need stocking stuffers. WM should have all holiday gift sets and such 50% off the day after Christmas and the $3 Dana sets will be $1.50. Wink

Where are the $3 Coty fragrances located? I have found peelies, but the only perfumes/colognes I have found for $3 are knock-off aerosols sprays. Are these located elsewhere or do not all stores carry them?
thanks.

They are in the Christmas aisle, usually all mixed together in a cardboard display box.

they should be in the christmas gift aisle. There are bins w/ different prices...look for the $3 one. The Coty fragrances are small rectangular boxes and .37x oz of most of the full size coty frangrances from the regular aisle where the peelies are found. So you'll see Celine Dion, Adidas, Stetson...and more. HTH

Dollar General had them for $2!!!! I tried with 3 coupons today and they all scanned wonderful. This is my first time using Qs @ DG but it was a very good experience. The SM and cashier, scanned an item, then scanned Q and repeated.

MY WM is becoming very difficult with PM and overage!

Just got back from walmart, managed to find 15 coty peelies. Had to search walmart for 20 min to find the $3 fragrances. picked up 11, got up to the register cashier didn't even question the coupons, and to help prevent the shock of having to give me cash back i bought a $20 gift card. total was 0.69, handed over the change and the stupid register wouldn't take the payment, said something about coupon exceed limit. I figured a manager just had to come approve the overage that the coupons gave. 1 manager comes, the cashier tells her that the coupons were giving me cash back and the infamous " we shouldn't be giving cash back" came out her mouth Facepalm was preparing to get the policy pulled up on my phone. She spent another 5 min trying to figure out what the coupon was for before calling over another manager. She read out loud for me to hear one coupon per purchase, Smack i began explaining. Eventually she decided to let it go through because the coupon didn't say what it was for. Even though i told them it said coty fragrance. Kind of a pain in the a$$ but i was able to use the overage on the gift card to purchase an electric razor (5.97 with a coupon) for my bf for Christmas. I have 4 peelies left and i have another walmart i could check but they are even crazier about giving cash back. IDK if the stress is worth it. Bash
