If you want to discuss the pros/cons of shopping at Wal-Mart do that here.

Let's try to stay focused on any great deals to be had when you combine a coupon with a regular-priced item. YYMV on the actual prices at Wal-Mart but they should be fairly close. If your store has an item with a very different regular price, please put it in the Wiki so we can compare the price variations to see if this is even worth it. We may as well not even post clearanced items because that is definitley going to be widely different per store.

There is no weekly ad to work with so we're going to have to add things from what we see when we are there. So please keep an eye out when you're at Wal-Mart next for any hot deals.

Wal-Mart accepts the following types of coupons (see guidelines below):
* Manufacturer coupons (Cents Off)
* Free merchandise (or Buy-One-Get-One-Free) coupons
* Store coupons
* Pharmacy (Advertising and Promotional) coupons
* Internet coupons
* Soft drink container caps

The following are guidelines and limits:
* Wal-Mart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when presented at the time of purchase.
* Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates. Wal-Mart will not accept expired coupons.
* Internet coupons should be legible and say "Manufacturer Coupon." There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a scannable bar code.
* Only one coupon per item is permitted.
* Use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by Customer Service Manager.

***YMMV on internet coupons. Some stores won't take them at all, some only take 1 per transaction and others take as many as you have. If you run into any trouble you can try showing them a copy of their coupon policy, but there is still no guarantee they will take internet coupons. Click on "Wal-Mart Coupon Policy" above to see it on the actual Wal-Mart website.

Guide to Wal-Mart
  • Use the SCO (Self-Checkout) to avoid coupon scrutiny
  • You cannot get an overage at the SCO's
  • Go to a regular cashier if you plan on having overage
  • Go to a regular cashier if you have a bottle cap
  • You can only use $20 worth of coupons at SCO
  • You can use up to $40 worth of coupons at a regular check out (Without Manager Approval) - (You can use as many as you want with approval)
  • If your coupon doesn't register as being inserted in the coupon slot at the SCO then blow in the slot
  • Some SCO's are coded to only accept 1 of each coupon and will need cashier approval.
  • Some SCo's are coded to need cashier approval for coupons with a $3 or higher value.
Wal-Mart Price Guarantee
If an item rings up for more than the price on the shelf WalMart policy is to give you $3.00 off the price the item scans for. If the item is less than $3.00 you get it for FREE. One item per $3.00 discount. YMMV as some stores will just give you the price difference instead of $3.00 off
NO MORE PRICE GUARANTEE AS OF JUNE 2008

Our Ad Match Guarantee

En Espa?ol [walmartstores.com]
We're committed to providing low prices every day. On everything. So if you find a lower advertised price on an identical product, tell us and we'll match it. Right at the register.

We gladly match the price in the following types of ads:*
  • Buy one, get one free ads with a specified price
    • Example: Buy one for $2.49, get one free (BOGO)
  • Competitors' ads that feature a specific item for a specified price.
  • Preferred shopping card prices for specific items that are in a printed ad.
  • For fresh produce and meat items when the price is offered in the same unit type (lb. for lb.; each for each)
*The following are guidelines and limitations:
  • We will match any local competitor's advertised price.
  • We do not require customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor's ad.
  • Items purchased must be identical to the ad (size, quantity, brand, flavor, color, etc.)
We DO NOT match the price in the following types of competitor ads:
  • Items that require a separate purchase to get the ad price
    • example: "Buy [item A] to get [item B] for $C"
  • Items with no actual price that require a purchase to get free product
    • example: "Buy both [items A & B] to get [item C] for free"
  • Items that require a purchase to get a competitors' gift card
    • example: "Buy [item A] to get a $B gift card
  • Buy one, get one free (BOGO) ads with no actual price given
  • Going out of business or closeout prices
  • Percentage off
    • example: "All mascara, 40% off"
  • Competitors' private label price promotions
We do not honor:
  • Ads when the actual price for items cannot be determined.
  • Internet pricing
  • Misprinted ad prices of other retailers
  • "Going out of business" sales or "close out" prices

It has come to our attention that an original intent of a manufacturer's coupon(s) has been compromised and it is being discussed on the slickdeals.net forums. Discussions of how to profit from a coupon mistake should not be discussed here. if you wish to discuss the coupon(s) mistake, please use another forum. Slickdeals.net does not condone discussions of how to perform, elude capture or profit from unethical and perhaps illegal activities. Any users caught creating multiple account(s) will be banned immediately, no exceptions.
  • Please do not ask (even in a covert way) for any coupon that has been scanned or discuss any coupon that is not used for it's intended purpose. This goes for ALL scanned - this is what ALTERED means. NO POSTING about CWS, "37000" coupons, SPICY, or DECODING list of coupons.

  • Users who do ask or discuss any coupon that is not used for its intended purpose will be subject to warnings. This is because we do not want to punish those who do legit deals by being forced to close this thread down.
Moderator Reminders
  1. Do not directly post to Ebay Auctions.
  2. It's considered self promotion because we don't have a way to verify if you are the seller or not.
  3. Mod Alert any fighting! We'd rather catch it in the beginning, versus going back 5 pages to see what happened.
  4. Do not discuss or promote unethical and/or illegal activities with coupons or GCs (ie using expired coupons, using fake coupons, etc.).
  5. Click here for how expired coupons will be handled on here. (Credit goes to kel_be). In other words they will be handled the same way as they do for the Target Thread.
How do I let someone know they've posted a no-no?
  • If you feel it would be beneficial and helpful to the thread as a whole, go ahead and post an answer. But if you need to correct someone on an etiquette issue or on coupon use, try PM'ing them first. That avoids embarrassment and negative posts. The mod's are watching our thread closely--we want to keep things helpful and pleasant.

Common Abbreviations & Acronyms Throughout the thread, you may find some abbreviations and acronyms that are confusing, as some are very specific to Walmart. Here are some of the most common you'll see mentioned repeatedly.
  • AC = After Coupon(s) (as in, "I used 4 JJ MFQ's and 3 AF ETQ's, so my total AC was $1.23.")
  • BC = Before Coupon(s) (as in, "My total BC was $56.78.")
  • HTH = Hope That Helps
  • J&J = Johnson's & Johnson's or Juicy Juice
  • MQ = Manufacturer's Coupon
  • OOP = Out of Pocket
  • PA = Price Adjustment
  • PM (first meaning) = Private Message
  • PM (second meaning) = Price Match
  • PP = Polly Pocket

I found 6 of the palmers at my Wal-Mart and one of the Proglides for $5.00. I had one of the $10.00 coupons left, so some nice overage for my milk. bouncebounce
Is there another version of the Palmers MQ? The one I have with 'no expiration' date EXCLUDES trial size. I didn't even realize it until the wonderful cashier at WM pointed it out to me. Yep she read the whole thing word for word and there it was..not valid on trial size. I read the darn thing before I went and didn't even notice it. shake head

Also wondering which mq you all have for the El Montereys? I noticed there were 2 out. Will either one work?

I need some good overage cpns to use at WM. Any one want to PM with what they are using? I have the beneful but my stores have been completely out since the last coupon. Thanks a bunch for any help!

the version i have of Palmers is off any, no exclusive as to trial, it was available last year if you signed up.... and was a PDF/JPEG type, so I saved it. Of course now it's no longer available unless u already have it. My WM grocery store has the sticks for $1.87 so I have been picking them up free.

Hmm sounds like it is similar to the one I have. It has the restrictions in with all the mumbo jumbo on the side where the remit to info is. I LOVED getting the palmers with the last mq that is now expired.

Added...My WM has them for $1.47, oh how I loved the little bit of O! Smilie

I think that is the only one $2 off Any Palmer with no expiration date available last year but to the right it states "Consumer: Limit one coupon per purchase on product specified. Offer not valid on trial sizes or Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick."

No even the fine print does not exclude; it's now NLA - they had one that expired 12/31, that one is gone.. you can't use that, it is long expired. Last year around October or November Steph posted a $2/1 "any" - w/o exclusions, but it was not posted in the printable thread because it was only available to email subscribers, it was not a hosted PDF (SD requires it be hosted, not an emailed offer).. for those of us who follow her we printed, but 2-3 days later they adjusted it and added the Exclusion for Trial/Travel, so anyone who signed up after that was not able to use the coupon on the stocks as the coupon is for specific oz or + .

The fine print on mine is fairly comprehensive.. but no, no exclusions as to trial - looks like you missed out on that coupon, not many have it since it was for a 2-3 day span Smilie And, unless you follow her closely you likely wouldnt have known that they flubbed for a few days and didn't give thought to the coupon they put out.

Yep that is the one I have. I just went and checked mine. Darn it, I was hoping there was another that would work.

Still holding out hope on finding some Beneful but pretty sure it will not get restocked around here. Mad It really stinks to have to go to walmart and actually pay real money for my groceries! LMAO

What coupon for the Proglide overage? Only $10 one I can find requires a 4ct or larger cartridge purchase as well. Saw a few $5 ones at mine yesterday as well.

It is the one that is expiring the 28th. I only had one, because I had used the rest of them at Walgreens. Hope this helps.

Are the beneful coupons the same peelies that were around before? If so what are they found on? I looked and looked last year and never could find any. I could always use free/cheap dog food with our 3 dogs.
Sorry if answered already. I skimmed and didn't see it.

Hmm, the one from the P&G that expires 2/28? It's $10 on a Fusion Razor wyb one cartridge(4 ct. or larger). There was one out months ago that didn't specify the number of cartridges and so I know some people were using them on the razor packages that had an extra cartridge in them, but this one you would have to buy the extra package of cartridges as well.

I don't know about peelies, but there is a $2 on any bag insert coupon that can be used on the $1 bags if you can find them.
