Any specific reason why? Most knockoffs at the mall are from China arent they?

Is there any way to check the accuracy of the prescription lenses that come from these online eyeglasses stores? I ordered a pair of glasses from urlhasbeenblocked with a prescription of -0.75 for both eyes. Yesterday I went to get an eye exam and technician took the prescription from the glasses and then checked my eyes and said my eyes stayed pretty much the same; no change. I later looked at the new prescription which showed both eyes are now at -2.00, which meant my vision had worsen from -0.75. So I wonder if the lenses on my glasses are accurate or not.

ETA: What I meant to say was that I suspect the prescription glasses I got were -2.00, and not the -0.75 that I ordered. Because why would the technician say my vision (based on the eyeglasses) didn't change and then I get a new prescription of -2.00 instead of -0.75. That's the confounding part.

I'm assuming the free lenses are for the standard index lenses? I need thinnest lens possible because I'm blind as a bat at -7.5 and -8.5. I don't want to have to register to check.

The eye doctor has a machine that they can put your current glasses in and it spits out the Rx. On my last exam they gave me a song and dance about how these online shops don't actually use your prescription and instead "just match up to whatever is closest to what they have in stock." This sounds like complete BS. I've been ordering from various shops without any problem.

Also, Goggles4U [goggles4u.com] has a deal for $10, including shipping, with this code: GLASSES9

I am pretty sure that won't impact your eyesight. It is not supposed to prevent your eye sight from worsening, it only artificially corrects your vision.
