Carnival Cruise Gift Cards

forestcities 10 10 March 18, 2016 at 06:29 AM
I am sure some of you have been on a carnival cruise before (I am going on my first this coming summer) and have discovered ways to save money buying their gift cards.

I have been trying to research stores that let you use their gift card to buy third party gift cards. I have gotten a bunch of websites that include conflicting data, i.e. one site says you can and another says you can't and a lot of YMMV.

I am wanting to buy discount gift cards online from these retailers and then use their gift cards to purchase the carnival gift cards.

Any advice on what you have done/would do will help greatly.

Thanks in advance.

spend a little more and avoid Carnival for first trip....if your boat trip is bad...you may never go again...
I have been on 9 trips so far. Love it!

Can't verify it, but I heard it can be done at Lowe's. They do carry carnival cards. Local major malls carry them too. I've used prepaid visa/mc cards to purchase them at the mall. But no discount on these.
Since you're an SD'er, if you have been playing the AARP contests and have a point accumulation, you can get them for %10 off, but you have to be quick when they get the stock in.

Did you already book and which one? You'll have a great time on whatever line you choose. Did my 4th Carnival out of Baltimore last Sept. and in May will be on my 2nd Royal. I don't need the bells/whistles of a rock climbing wall, ice rink or bumper cars, so they were both equally good for me. Different d├ęcor but both great service.

Thanks for the reply! I will say I have tried to purchase a 3rd party gift card using a Lowes gc and they did not allow me. I will have to keep looking elsewhere.

We are going on Carnival in June to Cozumel, Montego Bay, and the Cayman Islands. This will be our first but we are really looking forward to it.

Another thing you can do is creative shopping. Lowes, Target, whatever you got. Use them to buy food, cleaning paper supplies, the stuff you normally pay with cash, and than put the cash aside.

You'll have a good time. I've been on 4 Carnival and one Royal, going on another Royal 5day in May. Which ship and where are you sailing from?
