Does your Windows PC take too long to refresh folders contents? If so you gotta read this.

I've had a few folders that take forever to show the contents, well until now.

HowToGeeks [howtogeek.com]explains why and how to fix it once and for all. nod

If you use a Windows PC you should check this article out. shake head

Excited to test this out when I get home.

I have been having the same Downloads folder issue for a while, figured it was just how it is.. it gets incredibly frustrating!

Finally remembered to get around to this, and can't thank you enough.

My downloads folder now opens up IMMEDIATELY, and it's a bit unnerving haha - thanks again!!!! hug

If you'd given the thread a more meaningful title, more people might have looked at it... you still can if your edit your op and click go advanced.

I'd already turned this off, but thanks for sharing. Interesting side note, on my windows 7 computer the delay was minimal but on my windows 8 machine sometimes a folder would take over 10 seconds before it displayed everything.
