Thread Details

VW is reduced the price on passat close to 7K. Currently a lot of dealers are offering at $17.2K with 0% APR and $1250 reward card. I have not researched but Price is seems to be good.

I didn't think VW discounted their cars that much. That's like Ford and Chevy. Huge discount. Must be desperate over emissions issues.

Never purchased a VW before. How realistic are these prices? I assume they add doc fee (some states up to $700), delivery (usually around $800 or more) and then taxes, fees and title. Do they sneak in anything else?

This is nothing new this month. In fact vw support for the dealers is worse - you got $1500 conquest in February. I'd wait.

By the time you get it out the door, theres' a few thousand dollars stacking on top of it. And then you'll get a nasty surprise when you bring it in for smog check 3-4 years later. If you don't know what I mean, google is your friend. EEK!

anyone knows of such a similar offer on 2016 Golf SE? I would be really tempted if I can score it for sub-20k.

Are you talking about the recent diesel issues or are there other issues with VW's? Where does the few thousand dollars come from? Taxes, title destination and doc fees are all normal for a new car.

Local dealer has a Toureg TDI but they won't sell it to me. I offered 50% off list... they said they are not allowed to sell it.
