This looks like a deal to me. I bit. I've been on the fence about getting a 4K set, because I've been waiting for the prices to come down or more content. This deal looked too good to pass up though a 55" 4K set with a Roku 4 included for $598. Not to mention you can add plus to your membership and get $10 credit for every $500 spent and also use a popular service to get 1.5% cash back.

What made me hesitant is you cannot find any reviews on this set online. But, other Hitachi 4K sets appear to be getting very good reviews in the UK. Also, the listed specs on this set are impressive.

I will give a bit of my impressions once I receive the set.

Network genius, u run ONLY ONE APP any time. DO u need > 100? Which Video service is pushing VIDEO DATA like 1000?
All the paid Samsung ones are coming out of woodwork.

It does come with an Included Roku 4. I believe that has ethernet and is likely better than any apps built into a Smart TV.
This bundle is a good one.
TV with Roku 4 is a good bundle to buy. The APPs are future proof with updated APPs in Rokus than in smart TVs (which they never upgrade the APPs in TVs).

You are degrading this product bundle by throwing bad comments.

Now you are poisoning the subject with the networking 420.

I'm not sure why the link to the deal is not showing up. I posted it in the deal link section. Anyone able to help me fix it? Anyway, for now it is the last link on the post.

I didn't know the Roku 4 didn't have gigabit. Not sure it will hurt performance, but I have to think that it would have made more sense to include gigabit. How about the Fire TV is that gigabit?

The whole world runs mobile 100%. Ethernet is yesterday and who ever uses Ethernet Today at homes are Todays' morons.

Local: Who cares about your local in home config? No public video service does it.

take a basic networking class to understand why Ethernet will always beat wireless

It will not affect performance.

No public video service - Netflix or any requires that much capacity today or in the near future.
