Screw Frys, last time they ran a deal on this receiver I ordered it, and when I picked it up they tried to give me a refurbished unit. When I stated that it was supposed to be a new unit they basically said take it or leave it, then proceeded to take 1/2 hour to process the return. That was my first and last purchase at fries.

Ridiculously good price if this isn't a refurb

Also good price if this IS a refurb

I have this receiver after a ton of research. Best price to features in its class by a long shot.

Sweet - been waiting for a deal like this for a few months. For some reason, order wouldn't go from cart to payment screen in Chrome - but worked in MS Edge.

I've been waiting for another sale on Yamahas but these Denons keep popping up. Usually when I ask, people recommend the Yamaha but is this Denon so cheap that it would be a better buy than a Yamaha on sale around the same price?

I have also had horrible experiences at Frys. I don't really know how they even stay in business the way they treat and deceive their costumers. I would never buy anything from Frys.

I got $349 Onkyo TX-NR545 from BB 10 days ago and will most likely return it. I haven't even opened the box. All that I hear is good things about Yamaha. Onkyo/Pioneer has issues with HDMI is what I keep on hearing everywhere.

I don't care about 7.2 and 4K given its gonna be used with a projector and future proofing is unnecessary for me personally. All that I want is control by phone/iPad. This seems to fit the bill nicely. But I don't know if I should wait for Yamaha deal. Decisions decisions.

I bought a higher end Yamaha for our main room. I've had some issues with HDMI control between it and my Samsung TV, but I don't know what is to blame. I'm experimenting with hooking things up to TV vs. receiver via HDMI to see what works the best. I bought this Denon for another room, so we'll see how it goes.
