This sounds big enough to use with the dashcam. Dashcam to this battery, battery to charging port. Anyone know if this can be charged and use at the same time?

Edit: I don't want to hardwire the cam to the cars battery that's why I'm looking for a pass thru battery like this.

This seems pretty big and I'm taking a long trip out of the country next week. Does anyone know how many times I can recharge a single iphone off of one full charge from this?

Why not power dashcam from the power outlet in the car?

Do you want this battery flying into your face in case of an accident?

I'd definitely mount it it somewhere if I were to do that. Reason I wanna do this is because I wanted the dashcam to be recording constantly and not only when the car is on.

As in 24/7? Most vehicles have an outlet that has power for about 15 min after shutting engine off. Some have much longer times too.

I've owned this for about a year and it's great! charges up my HTC One m8 with qc 2.0 multiple times (3-4) plus an iPhone a couple times! we charge it about once per week but you CAN NOT use it while charging and you need a qc 2.0 to charge it.

This does not use quickcharge or need it to charge

it won't charge with a USB 2 or 3 port on my computer and won't charge using a 2.0 amp tablet charger

also it isn't rated for qc 2.0 but supplies 2.4amps on one of the ports which is essentially qc 2.0
