sign up at cartwheel.com on a pc if you don't want to participate in social media or download the app on a mobile device.

***NOTE- if you are using the cartwheel app on your mobile device, you DO NOT HAVE TO SEARCH FOR THE EGGS as the deal editor has instructed. just click on the magnifying glass on the right side of the tool bar and then click on *Scan Product*. it will turn your camera into a scanner and just scan the bar code of the item and if there is a discount it will load it to your account. it is good practice to scan all the bar codes in you cart every time you shop at target. there are literally hundreds of cartwheel discounts at any given time.

eta- can be even lower w/ discounts below
(sorry, i don't know why the front page view won't update when i edit)

1- Text SAMPLE to 827438 to get a barcode for a $1.00 off $5.00 Market Pantry purchase. You can use this in addition to the 50% off Cartwheel.
tx vaikinas!

2- also qualifies for $10 gift card with $50 purchase of select food and beverage items deal. link to details in upper right corner.

3- if you have a red card, you will get another 5% discount.

4- if you bring a reusable grocery bag, you will get 5ยข off for each bag you use. make sure the cashier scans the bar code stuck to the register for the reusable bag discount.

the eggs are quite possibly are short-dated, iirc they were last yr. as long as you can store them properly they can last for months. we have a resident expert in the target deal thread in the DS forum.

officially they are good for 3-5 wks after purchase.

Always purchase eggs before the "Sell-By" or "EXP" date on the carton. After the eggs reach home, refrigerate the eggs in their original carton and place them in the coldest part of the refrigerator, not in the door. For best quality, use eggs within 3 to 5 weeks of the date you purchase them. The "sell-by" date will usually expire during that length of time, but the eggs are perfectly safe to use.

That's definitely the "company line," but in reality they last much longer. I am a Food Technologist for the feds, and eggs just happen to be my area of expertise. So if I'm asked that question in an official capacity I have to give the company line.

The human pathogen most commonly associated with shell eggs is Salmonella, and it doesn't grow at refrigerator temperatures, so if your eggs are safe to eat today, they will be safe to eat 6 months from now as long as they remain refrigerated at 45 F or lower. Of course, the air cell will get bigger and the white will become thinner (quality issues). But from a food safety standpoint, your eggs will be fine.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Eggs at my Target are $.99 a dozen. I bought 6 dozen tonight, used the mobile text barcode and the 50% off Cartwheel. Paid $1.94 for 6 dozen...comes to $.32 for each dozen!

I don't think Target carries more than a few dozen eggs at a time....

Visited my local store yesterday. They had a ton of eggs for the .99 sale price promo. Unfortunately all had a 'use by' date of April 4/5. Looks like they grossly oversupplied in anticipation, hence this cartwheel price cut.

i already checked inventory. within 100 miles of me, quantities range from 718 - 7520 dozen. they need to get rid of them asap. usually CW is limited to 4 per transaction, but this time it's limit 10 so you know- *houston, we have a problem*. last yr they had so many eggs on clearance after easter but they were short-dated so i couldn't buy much.

if they don't have eggs out, don't hesitate to ask a red team member to go get some.

What is the cartwheel discount?
it is a social media based target digital discount platform. you can sign up via pc or mobile. you can add a certain amount of discounts to your personal account which is applied to your purchases when the cashier scans your bar code either on a printout or on your mobile device. when you perform certain activities you earn *badges* that will allow you to add more discounts to your account at one time.

if you download the app onto your mobile device, it has a scanner to check the bar codes on the items in your cart to see if there are any applicable discounts.

unless otherwise stated, cw discounts are limited to 4 per transaction, 6 transactions per day.

go to cartwheel.com for the details.

Thanks - I should have been more clear. I was asking what is the discount amount from Cartwheel.
