Alerts automatically turning off

jog123 10 10 March 25, 2016 at 11:18 AM

My alerts are automatically pausing/turning off under the "My Deal alerts page", so I'm not getting web or email notifications. When I resume all of the alerts, and leave the page (or even just refresh), they automatically go back to being paused. This has been going on for weeks now.

Any idea how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

I am told that if you have a typo or something wrong in the DA wording, or something completely blank and then just a -laptop ( like all DAs except laptops), or if you spammed one of our emails for that particular DA... any of those things could cause an issue. The first 2 would cause it to go away immediately, the 3rd would be after you spammed the email. Do any of those scenarios fit?

I'm afraid not--none of my alerts fit that description. It seems to do this at random. For example, I'll resume all of the alerts and then hit refresh. One of the alerts will now be paused. I'll keep hitting refresh--sometimes there will be no changes, other times other alerts will become paused.

OK, then you must fall in to the one final category which has to do with the user group for new members and we're workign on a fix for that ..it should be out soon. (couple of days*fingers crossed)

The fix has been applied, and your deal alerts should no longer expire on their own (for a very long time).

Unfortunately, my alerts are still being paused immediately after I turn them back on

This happens to me as well, the only way i can fix it is by resuming each alert, then going to edit, then save it.

I'm still having the problem more than two weeks after the fix was applied.

We've now fixed the issue on all currently active deal alerts; nothing else should be set to expire in the near future. Unfortunately this could not do anything for alerts that have already expired, but if you re-enable them now, it should set up everything to be good to go.

If anyone continues to have an issue after re-enabling them, or with a deal alert that is active as of now getting expired, please let us know, as it would indicate a new issue Smilie

I appear to still have the issue. I went into my alerts earlier today and saw all were inactive. I clicked to re-activate them and they showed as active. Then I closed the browser (Firefox on a Mac). An hour or so later, I went back in and all are inactive.
