Basic Food Lion Information

What is the phone number to call if I have a problem?

If you have a question, concern or comment, please call our Customer Relations Department toll-free at 1-800-210-9569.

Does Food Lion accept coupons?

Yes! They accept manufacturer's coupons (including printables - YMMV) and their own Food Lion printable coupons.

Not that I know of.

Can I use more than one manufacturer’s coupon on a B1G1 free promotion?

The official company line is yes, but YMMV according to your store manager.

Is there a limit to how many coupons I can use in one transaction?

According to corporate, you can use one coupon per item.

Can I use coupons on clearance items?

Yes. If they give you a hard time, call corporate. They will straighten it out!

Brief pdfing tutorial by CouponDude

Ok download this pdf printer

http://mirror.pdfatlas.com/mirror/BullzipPDFPrinter_6_0_0_865.zip

If you goto food lions site when you print the coupons choose the pdf printer and it will make a pdf. Next download this and install it this is a pdf editor
http://mirrors.foxitsoftware.com/pub/foxit/editor/desktop/win/2.x/2.1/enu/FoxitPDFEditor21_enu_Setup.exe

Ok to make things simple for you download one of the old weekly pdf files from the wiki. After you have it saved on your pc, open it with the pdf editor. then click edit at the top menu and choose select all, then right click on the sheet and choose delete object. Your sheet should be blank now. Choose file from upper menu and then save as and name it fliptemplate. Now download whatever pdf file and open it with the editor and take the arrow and draw a box around the entire area you want such as one coupon right click and choose copy. Now open the flip template file you made and right click on the empty sheet and choose paste, viola !!! Put it where you want by dragging irt around if you right click again you can paste it again and again.
By drawing a box around the coupon (or when it is selected) you want to place if you need to turn it sideway the box at bottom right ---select transform and then put 90 in the rotate spot to turn it on its side. I dont mess with sizes anymore i just use the default size of the q as it comes from foodlions site. If you use the snapshot feature in a pdf VIEWER it will mess with the size ....HTH

Yes, I loved their Store Brand promo they had before! I stocked up on a lot of items, especially the tomato sauce and other necessities. I'm also hoping that the FL CAT will roll! I need to go to Food Lion and load a few $$ on my FL gift card because I still have a couple of the Rule The School codes that I'm hoping I can load to the gift card. That would be great if it works!

Good luck and please let us know what great items you find! Wink
Did a small transaction and got a $1.50 cat. I'll see if it rolls tomorrow.

Oh man the Super Sale once again!

Here's a copy/paste of my spreadsheet I use to maximize savings at my FL. I basically found all the cheap stuff mostly under a buck that's hard to find elsewhere for less money after the $0.25 off. Prices are a little stale since I updated it during the last sale in January 2014 according to my records. Best deal on here might be cat food at $0.15-0.20 per can after the quarter cash back. I hate looking like a crazy cat lady when I buy case after case of this stuff (because I'm 35 and a dude) but hey, it's half the price of Aldi. The tomato sauce and canned veggies are also pretty killer.
Wow, thanks! I have an updated list, I was in the store today and got some prices....I was looking for anything under a buck but I'll type it up and post it in a few minutes! Some of your 2014 prices look the same this year.

No problem! I figured since the sale is going on for the the next 4 weeks, it was worth it to walk around the store some. I only wandered through about half the store because I was starting to get hungry and wanted to get home to cook some dinner. lol. I'll check out the frozen section tomorrow, but I think frozen veggies should only be about a dollar.

Some items I know must have smaller sizes. I saw the .39 tomato sauce you mentioned, but I didn't see the .50 paste, but I didn't see a small can and I know there must be one. I'm sure I over looked some stuff.

cat food is looking to be a stock up great price:

40 cans 17.60 -10 CAT = 7.60. or $4 more for 40 cans of dog food.

I scanned my card at the coupon machine and sometimes I get FL brand q's, and I didn't get any yesterday. I got a $3/$20 pork q. I don't know if we'll get any store brand q's for the next few weeks, but that would be great.

Thanks for the update buttorskotch!

Yeah, hopefully there will be some store coupons too. I remember some for yogurt last time that made them a money maker (like $1 off 4 plus the $1 you get for buying 4 under this sale).

The Greek yogurt is $0.87 each, so .62 each after CAT. That's a good price for me, since I like this brand better then Chobani or Dannon greek. Just discovered it a few months ago when I became a FL shopper.

Yikes...been a while
Just looked at my ad in MD and there is a Stock up and Save offer buy 5 save $5, buy 10 save $10, buy 15 save $15

This includes 4pk dannon Activia or light n fit yogurt $2. I think there is a $1/1 on the products' websites.

Anyone see anything cheaper in store?

Thanks for bumping this thread! I saw this promo a few days ago and yogurt was the only deal I saw worth getting. I didn't find the thread, to post it lol.

I have a list of items I saw in the store with the promo tags that I'll type up in a few minutes, but let's just say it's not worth waiting for. The cheapest item was 1.89 and it was popcorn salt. laugh out loud After the promo savings it would e .89.......

There weren't a lot of tagged items, so maybe we'll get more inclusions next week? I was looking for a .pdf that had a list but I haven't seen one.

Kind of late to the party but the Gain fabric softener is on sale for $3.49 plus is part of the buy 5 save $5 promotion. I got 5 bottles of Gain softener, plus tossed in a box of Gain dryer sheets to use 2 3/$5 Q's. I have no idea if this price and sale end tonight & unfortunately neither did the kid who checked me out. And of course no date info on shelf tags.... HTH

4/13 editing to add:
there is nothing in the new weekly sales circular to suggest that this sale continues, so I think it's done.

New sale is buy 5 certain Kellogg's & Pop Secret items- 2/$5 cereal, $1.69 fruit flavored snacks, $2.99 Cheezit's, etc. to get a $10 Fandango movie ticket code. Might pan out for someone who goes to a lot of movies but for us, meh.
